PROPOSED PROJECT ROLE

Dave is a Director of Bell Engineering Group Pty Ltd. He is responsible for major projects, business development, and value adding solutions. His role on the proposed project will be to deliver the highest level of design and documentation utilizing solutions, technology and techniques that are appropriate, efficient, and practicable for this specific project.

Dave's key role is to maintain the highest standard of design, innovation and service to Bell Engineering Group's clients through continual improvement strategies and staff development. Material technologies, design philosophy, and construction techniques are at the core of Dave's role.

 

CAREER AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Dave has over 16 years professional engineering and management experience since graduating with honours from the BEng Civil degree at QUT.

He has several years experience in manufacturing and Research and Development , having managed a commercial R&D project that developed a new cold formed steel roof truss system. During these years Dave obtained his MEng Research degree from QUT.

Dave spent 6 years with Arup, where he worked on major engineering projects in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore and the Philippines in a technical and management capacity. He was also involved in program management of major government environmental health programs for Aboriginal communities in Queensland.

Dave joined Weathered Howe and delivered major projects in Queensland including Aria Tower and the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre.

He then moved to Hong Kong as Design Manager for Unison Projects, a specialist design and build company for steel structures, major glazing projects, and cladding projects.

Dave returned to Weathered Howe to Deliver major projects and develop business opportunities both local and international. He was instrumental in implementing management and procedural change to achieve the outcomes required under the strategic business plan adopted by the shareholders.

Dave is a Founding Director of Bell Engineering Group Pty Ltd, a dynamic and focused Professional Engineering and Project Specialist firm of motivated professionals. His role is very much hands on for project work, and he is also responsible for marketing and business development.

Dave has a wealth of experience in team leader and project management roles on a wide range of engineering projects in Australasia. He has held positions in manufacturing, commercial R&D, consulting engineering, program management, and design and build.

He has a unique range of skills that allow him to deliver the best value solutions for the problem set at hand in a cooperative and professional manner for all stakeholders. He has developed sound engineering skills, an innovative solution based approach to projects, analytical assessment and solution implementation techniques, and a lateral thinking mindset.
